Sewing Retreat in San Juan Bautista Summer 2018 with Jane Foster

A Fabulous Sewing Retreat with Jane Foster

We had another wonderful sewing retreat with Jane Foster. While the group was sewing most of the time, they also took side trips to Pacific Grove to go shopping, into San Juan Bautista to visit the local quilt shops, coffee shops, Mexican restaurant, or the mission. Everyone had a great time and thanks Jane for making this sewing vacation possible.

Carrie made this cute top with Butterick B5907. She said she had made it up at least 7 times.

Carrie's used McCall's pattern M6959 for her dress.

Ellen and Vicki have been friends in Jane's Wednesday morning sewing group for many years. They always enjoy being on these retreats together.

Diana made this tote using a collage of different fabrics and covering the edges with bias strips. The fabric choices are outstanding.

Santina made this jacket with fabric she purchased on the trip to New York with Jane. She used Sandra Betzina's Vogue pattern V1036.

Susie made this apron using a pattern from Indygo Junction designed by Amy Barickman

Susie is wearing a dress she previously made.

Thea made a tote.

Thea's husband Ross will love this backpack featuring the San Francisco Giants. His name is displayed on the side.

Barbara competed her quilt.

She enjoys the quilting process.

Vicki E and Vicki Z are enjoying a morning of sewing.

Its always a delight to be with Santina.

View from the patio outside of the sewing room. If you look closely you can see a family of turkeys on the path.
