Kathy D

Kathy started coming to the studio about 3 years ago. Her first project was a beautiful orange, double faced, cashmere coat. She was an experienced sewer but enjoyed learning new techniques and absorbed information like a sponge. We have become really good friends and I love her style. She plans her next project with discussion, fabric samples, sketches, pattern choices and then muslin.

She has produced some really beautiful garments, and even during the pandemic we were able to meet outside. Her sewing skills have now progressed to such a high level. I have missed having her in the studio every Monday morning, but hopefully that will soon change.

Enjoy seeing her creations! Jane.

Kathy found this fabulous fabric, lining, and buttons at Britex.

Kathy D used Butterick B6100 tee shirt pattern to make this dress. She just added 14” to the hemline and it’s a perfect dress for this striking fabric.

Kathy D made this top using Jane's Spoonflower Geometric's fabric and Butterick B6628 pattern. The fabric colors are so good with her skin and coloring. Jane is proud of her.

Jane and Kathy reworked this Koos Vogue1213 pattern.
