Jane's Students Create One
of a Kind Garments with Stencils and Fabric Paint
|

Vicki and Sally are using stencils from
Marcy Tilton to decorate portions of their garments.
The stencil is placed over the fabric, and they used
foam brushes to apply the fabric paint to the stencil.
After drying for 24 hours, they ironed the fabric to
bond the paint to the fabric. Several other
students also experimented with this fun process.

Maria used multiple stencils to decorated this crossover
tee shirt. She also made a green one, and both are
the greatest tee shirts I have seen.

On the way to Asilomar, Maria stopped at
Thai Silks
and found this hand painted lining.
She decorated a portion of it by applying a discharge
paste over a stencil.

Sally created a fabulous tee shirt with stencils of dots and
clouds. Also note the diagonal design line, with 3
rows of curved stitching along the edge. A
talented lady!!

Jane's New London Cape Pattern

Jane created a cape pattern, and will
give classes on making this cape. The pattern will
be supplied in class. Watch for class dates.

Katherine's mom came to visit her, and Katherine made her
Jane's cape. |

Katherine found buttons at Findings
in Carmel. While they were a
mite pricey, they looked like they
were just made for this cape.
Ginny was really pleased to be able
to spend time with Katherine, and
also receive this gorgeous new cape.
After meeting Ginny, we knew how
Katherine became beautiful on the
inside as well as the outside.
