Students and Jane had fun in
Asilomar in Pacific Grove, CA. The fee covered housing (two
people per room),meals and Jane's wonderful instruction. They were able to
sew, relax, take walks, visit the tide pools, and socialize with friends.
The beach, flora, tide pools and ocean were magnificent.
They took their sewing machines and worked on their projects that yearned
to be started or finished - Asilomar provided a room for sewing,
between 6 am and midnight without TV, telephone or interruptions.
Meals were served family style and the food was wonderful and plentiful.
They also had a special request area for people with specific food needs
(such as a salad meal). The grounds are beautiful and quiet
and the ocean is across the street. The rooms are simple. There is a gift
shop with really great coffee and snacks available.
This event was SO successful that Jane is planning another event next
