Lisa had not been sewing before she joined my studio a few years ago. She has moved from 0 to 10 in no time at all. As a retired hair designer, she is a natural for hands on sewing and has a designers eye. She is such an added value to our sewing group, and has re designed me personally in many ways. Lisa easily absorbs new techniques, and is having lots of fun sewing and with machine embroidery.

Lisa's coat made for Kantha Challenge

Made from Kaffe Fassett fabrics cut into 2.5 inch strips.

Lisa looks SO elegant in this embroidered duster. This embroidered netting came in several color ways. The design was loosely based on a Zandra Rhodes pattern (Vogue 1505). She used French seams. It’s going to be a very useful piece.

Lisa made this dress using a McCalls pattern and bark cloth from Stone Mountain and Daughter Fabrics in Berkeley. She likes the V neck too.
