Jane's New London Cape Class
Students Sew their Capes
|

Jane
demonstrates how to make the
belt openings in a manner
similar to bound button holes.
In the photos below, note how
much fun the students are having
in this class.
|

Pressing, pressing, pressing. Jane
demonstrates once again how to press our garments.
We love to laugh.
|

Joy was happy to have taken the time from her busy
life to spend the day in Jane's cape class. Her husband says "A happy
wife is a happy home".
|

Kathleen's cape is nearly finished. |

Barbara tries on her cape. The hemming is
the last step to be done..
|

Barbara B. cuts out her cape designed by Jane Foster. |

Kathleen sews the buttons onto her cape.
|

Albie is pressing her London Cape. |

This is
Daria's first class with Jane. |
|
|
|

Clara is busy sewing her cape seams. |

Zelda is thinking of purchasing a leather belt for her cape.
|

Fran had a great day. We enjoyed watching her sew,
and seeing how she could accomplish all the steps so quickly..
|

The blue grey color of Sharon's cape is
fabulous on her.
|

Cheryl is making the most gorgeous cape. |

The color and
pattern of this fabric looks fabulous on her.
Notice the neck edges are still raw.
Students have the option of binding the edges on the
cape, or finishing the seams in the normal way, and
then applying a trim if desired.
|

Joy found a great cream colored cashmere
fabric for her cape in Berkeley, and a wonderful metal
black and cream button at Britex.
|

Betty chose a teal colored fabric for
her cape, and is going to make the binding from a solid
colored teal knit fabric.
